Father,
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for being the wonderful and awesome God that you are. So loving and caring. So patient and full of grace. You have guided me through the past year and decade, molding me and shaping me to be who you want me to be. You’ve opened my eyes to see you clearly. You’ve opened my ears to hear you accurately. You’ve opened my heart to receive everything you have for me, whether I thought I wanted it or not. You have been so intentional with me that I can’t doubt that you will bring more light and clarity into my life in this new year.
God as I fast and devote time, energy and effort to humbly seek you, I pray that you reveal your glory all the more. I pray that you are able to speak and that I can discern your voice. I pray that you reveal your plan and purpose for my life in this new year. I pray that you restore what was lost so that we can build something new and pleasing in your sight. I pray that you help me see that no matter what comes, I am never alone in this fight. You are an ever present help in a time of need or trouble. You are a true friend and confidant. You want what is best for me. I pray that you help me see and remember that no matter my circumstances.
I am grateful for this time of reflection and preparation for the amazing year ahead. Forgive me where I have fallen short. Wash me over and purify my mind, body and soul. Give me a fresh start and anointing so that nothing is is my way of seeing you. I will continue to give you all the glory, honor and praise for you are worthy.
