Father,
Thank you. For being so wonderful and so awesome. It is such a secure feeling to know that I serve a God who knows all and who sees all. And because You know all and You see all, that means that You are ever-present in the good and the bad.
You know exactly what I feel, what I think and what I do. You know me from the inside out. You know me better than I know myself. And that’s a good feeling. Because in moments where I lack clarity or direction, You are there.
You know my tendency to hold tightly to the things around me. To regain control of my constantly changing environment, You know that I hold tight to those things that are familiar to me. Things I can find comfort in. But at the root of my need for control, is a soft voice whispering my lack of trust in You. Because You know me better than I know myself, You know that I feel as if I can create better outcomes by operating in my knowledge or strength to fix the problems around me. Especially when I can’t see the path clearly in front of me.
But in those times, Father help me remember that You have me, and all my problems and all my feelings and all my thoughts, in Your hands. Safe and secure.
I know that just like any relationship, the more I spend time with You, the more comfortable I become letting go and letting you take care of me. The more I learn about You, the more I know about the type Father that you are. And You are a good good Father.
You are a Father who provides for His children. In times of lack, I can rely on the fact that you will supply my every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
You are a Father who protects His children. When the situations around me cause me to be afraid, You said, do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
You are a Father who never changes. Even during the earth-shattering changes I may face, I can be secure in the fact that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. I don’t have to be thrown off by the chaos or by situations thrown my way. I can stand on the solid rock knowing that You will never falter.
Your provision, protection, peace, forgiveness, compassion, and love for me will always stay the same.
So, Father, I praise You with my whole heart, knowing that as I relax in Your radiant presence, I am learning to release. And as I release the need for control in my life, You never let me go.
You never leave me nor forsake me. You will always uphold me with your right hand. I can dance in light of your Glory knowing who You are and what You can do. I can laugh with joy in my heart know that if You are for me, nothing in this world has the power to overtake me. I have the strength for all things through You who empowers me.
You have given me authority and the power to confidently navigate this life with your guidance. And I thank you because the battle is already won and the victory is ours!
Thank You for being a good good Father. And when I may forget Your promises, remind me that I never have to face anything in this life alone.
In Jesus name, I pray,
Amen
